Yoga Army Dress

Yoga Army Model Dress Review

At first glance, I wasn't quite sure if this marvelously soft piece of clothing was a skirt or a dress, but after careful consideration, I decided it would fit perfectly as the latter. The image at the bottom was a fun, metallic design that was composed of a combination of a crest and wings. The best part about it was that it was made of eight percent Lycra, and everyone knows that a little stretch is never a bad thing when it comes to clothing. The design is simple, yet stylish and perfect for any occasion. The soft pink, grey and sliver colors work so wonderfully together, and would mix well with many, if not all, skin tones. This dress can be paired with some great silver jewelry and heels for a night out, or with a jean jacket and simple flats for a Saturday lunch date.

I love dresses, but I could often pass up the discomfort that goes along with them. I hate the stiffness that a lot of dresses have, and I feel like I am usually tugging and adjusting more often than I would like to. This dress however, is an exception as it could not be uncomfortable even if it tried to be. Just think of your absolute favorite comfy t-shirt, mixed with your sexiest little dress. What could be better?

The company that makes this dress is a clothing line called Yoga Army. When I first saw this dress, one of my first thoughts was that it had a very innocent quality about it. The light, bubblegum pink, the soft fabric, and the billowiness it possesses make it look very 'sugar, spice and everything nice.' One look at the brand's website however, and it is very clear that their main goal is not that of innocence, but to start a clothing revolution. Yoga Army's declaration is to 'establish drama, open hearts and souls to greater aesthetics, insure sexy femininity, provide a rock n' roll edge, promote an experience in which people are moved to a new sense of themselves, and secure the blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' If that statement alone doesn't make you feel sexy and empowering, then the clothes are sure to push you into fashion oblivion.

For those of you who are diehard consumers of American made products, this brand is for you. The designing, fabrication, and construction are all taken place here in the states. Many celebrities have already joined this fashion revolution such as, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, and Laguna Beach's Kristin Cavallari.

Just when I thought this dress couldn't get any better, I saw that it was ninety-two percent modal. Modal is a truly wonderful fabric, and it is getting to be just as popular is its rival, cotton. Clothing made from modal, like this Yoga Army dress, is made of a bio-based fiber made from beech trees that is resistant to shrinkage and fading. It is so smooth and soft that even mineral deposits from hard water will virtually slide right off. Basically, you are investing in a strong piece of clothing that will last a long time.
